Mysore Sandalwood - 1975

Hey y'all,

A Mysore Sandalwood lover I am fer'shur .. and I've smelled a lotta good

ones over the years .. selling a good one even now .. vintage 2002 ..

but lemme tell you its a fact that the older it is the better it is.

Fellow in California just sent me a bottle with a fair amount in the

bottom .. a sample of one he purchased in 1976 .. vintage 1975. Folks,

its finer'n frog hair split three ways.

I think Graham Sorenson has some from the 40s .. might be I'm confusing

him with someone else .. but if his is better than this one then he

oughta insure it. ;-)

Y'all have a good one .. and keep smiling. :-)

PS: I'll bring it to the AT shindig that will go down in Albuquerque

in late July and those who attend can get a whiff or three.

Years ago I was gifted with some bottled in the year of my birth...

last week, a new friend bought an assortment of 'antique pharmacy

equipment' on ebay.

included in it was a 100 year old bottle of " english sandalwood " 4 ounce

bottle.

well,, sandalwood doesn't grow in England...

but India was under English control then.

He sent me a couple of mls.

It's definitely Mysore... I think the 60 year old is deeper, and this a

tad lighter...

but I'd have no qualms about using it.
