Well I have one thing to contribute. I have long hair...pretty fine but

relatively thick. It tends to be a little dry. I've been using straight

babassu oil as a conditioner and my hair is so pretty. I just work it into my

hair until it is pretty well saturated. It does not take a lot....warm it in my

palms to melt it. sleep with a towel on my pillow and then wash it as usual in

the morning. It makes my hair so soft and shiny and no longer dry.

Funny this should come up, I just created a conditioner using Tamanu OIl,

Babassu Oil and Manoi de Tahiti Oil. I work it in from roots to tip and wrap my

head and hair in sarran wrap. Then I go out in the sun and work with my plants

or just lay out for an hour or so. It deep conditions my hair as I cop a tan!

Take the sarran off when I take a shower and instant shine! My hair is almost

to my waist and has never been healthier looking....

My hair is dark...but I doubt that it would change the color. The color of the

oil is white when solid and a sort of honey colored when melted.
