Guest guest
babbasou, shea, karite -- no, no, no. Well, yes, I've used them. But I shouldn't. Not according to curly hair gurl Ouidad. I went in for my first salon visit the other day, the first in years. He said my hair was in good condition. I have very curly/wavy ethnic hair, fine texture, but tons of it. Very susceptible to breakage, prone to frizziness (miami!), etc. For those of you who formulate hair shampoos, and conditions, may I ask you to visit Ouidad's site and view one or more of her videos? In one of them, and I forget which one, she insists that only water-soluble products should be used on curly hair, nothing with oils or waxes or silicone (I'm guilty on all counts.) She emphasizes stuff like wheat and silk protein and other nourishing goodies. Oh, I found it, it's the NY1 video -- citric acid, amino acids, soy, etc. Here's the link: http://www.ouidad.com/news_and_events/press_tv.asp#3 I'll be your beta tester and well, I'll be your beta tester. It would be nice to see curly-hair lines out there with all-natural products.
