Sounds like overkill to me ... ;-p Yea .. There are over 20 species in the genus Nigella - but Nigella sativa is a species unto itself and as far as I have been able to understand (from a botanical book that takes 3 men and a boy to carry) there are no sub-species of Nigella sativa. Even Rosmarinus officinalis - which has chemotypes - has only one type of Cineole type regardless of whether it is grown in Tunisia, Turkey, Greece or wherever. Turkey is a major producer of Nigella sativa and one of the major suppliers to the Arab world. Guest guest
Dear Butch, Thank you for clarifying the two " Black Cumins " and the data on Nigella Sativa is very much appreciated. One of those cases where there are two herbs of the same colloquial name... In the excerpt below - they are referring to the essential oil? Not a tincture? I may have missed a post or two with the explanation....could you clarify???..............Herbally Yours Penny On 5/22/06, Butch Owen <butchbsi wrote: > > Hey y'all, > > Somebody wrote: > > > WONDERFUL!
