Guest guest
Dear Christa, I LOVE DMSO and am totally amazed that the surgeon mentioned it. DMSO is excellent for any broken bones, swellings or inflammations of joints. You can get it at ANY feed store or you can get it online at any veterinary supply house. There is a " pharmaceutical grade " DMSO which is sold more expensively but a vet that I know reckons that this is just as good as the one that is used on animals. If you were taking it internally (and I use it as a mentsrtum with certain herbs) then I would get that grade but , for external use, the ordinary DMSO sold to vets is perfect. You have to make sure that the skin is clean. If you want to draw a herb into the body, (like for instance comfrey), then you can put some tea or tincture on the skin and the DMSO on top. The DMSO will draw whatever is on top of the skin immediately into the body. I would recommend two to fiive DROPS - not a lot at all. If you rub it in - realize that some will be absorbed by your hand as well and this will also be used by the body. So - vets and doctors use gloves when rubbing it in - otherwise they are getting an overdose. Apply when needed. The pain will go away almost miraculously and healing will be enhanced. There is a great book called " DMSO - Natures Healer " by Dr. Morton Walker, if you want any more information.....................Herbally yours Penny On 5/23/06, Christa Maria <cmaria wrote: > > Last year in October, I had 6 fractures in my leg and besides the hip > prothesis the femur is held together with a mass of rods, plates screws > and wires. > Where the wires are hooked around the prothesis, a piece is sticking out > getting into the muscle and now has given me an acute attack of > bursitis.
