Guest guest
Hi Carol: What a bummer! For your friend and you. Off the top of my head, I would tell any friend of mine that has had this exposure to: Use Liver herbs immediately to keep from getting more damage to the Liver, and to not quit them for many moons. Dandelion & Milk Thistle seed are the two best liver herbs, but there are plenty others that will help support the liver. There are some promising things about either the Buckthorn Seed oil or the Berry~forget which one. Tell her to use Organic on that one. Even if it grows in the wild, some governmental areas do spray pesticides. One vitamin I would not be without would be TwinLab's Stress B Caps. Each has a 1000 ML of C in each cap. It is yeast free. Helps to keep insects away which will help from the spread of the disease standpoint. Will see if I can find a couple more notes on liver support. I've read a bit about it and made some things up for a friend that is suffering from Cirrhosis. One is a massage oil, that I think would work moreso at a later time, He is having great luck with Milk Thistle seed caps. One of the eo's in the massage oil was Rose, remember that one as I did not have a large supply of it. It's not my favorite eo. When dealing with the liver~where all kinds of meds, chemicals, etc., build up~fast action is very important. Note: If your friend is strapped for cash, I will donate a combo of Milk Thistle & Dandelion extract that can be added to warm water to take out the alcohol. Just send me a note and cover the cost of shipping is all I ask. If you believe in Essiac tea, I would maybe do some research about using it as a detox for the whole system. Some reports are negative about it and the Liver, but there sure have been enough good that has happened over the last 3/4's century with it. In my book, it works good as a detox to let the healing begin. Best of luck in helping your friend and blessings to you both, deb If you are concerned about being exposed to the Hep C, call your local Health Dept and see what they recommend to avoid exposure. As far as I know it is body fluids, avoid any contamination around cuts & open sores, blood, plus I would be a bit careful on the mosquito front~hence the Vitamin B Stress Caps.
