Guest guest
Very nice site, Rachel. I have a question about brewing tea. Can you brew it in a coffee maker? My DH takes a thermos of coffee to work with him every day, but I would like to encourage him to take green tea instead. He is open to drinking tea if it is easy for him. Since he gets up sooooo early in the morning, he sets up his coffee maker on an automatic timer the night before so he has nothing to deal with in the morning. Would this also work for brewing tea? Or would it not have enough time to steep? Thanks, Donna
Guest guest
Hello Donna: I am just kind of jumping in on this topic. Hope you don't mind. It is my experience that it is best for tea to 'steep' for 4-6 minutes before drinking it so a coffee maker really is not the best method. If you can get your DH to take hot water with him plus the tea bags, he can pour a cup of hot water, add the tea bag, cover and let it sit (steep) for about 5 minutes. Then squeeze the bag into the cup to get all of the herbal benefits, sweeten as desired and drink it. Hopefully he will be wiling to do it. My husband always makes me make his tea for him as he, too has to do everything the easy way. Deb , " dzmg2000 " <dzmg wrote: > > Very nice site, Rachel. I have a question about brewing tea.
