On brewing in the coffee pot, in a word yes, in two words, I wouldn't. Tea absorbs odors and scents VERY easily. The green tea would taste like coffee. The other thing is that Green tea only requires 1 minute to brew. So a coffee maker would take too long. The good thing is that this would be even faster for your husband. LOL Can't beat one minute. And if he's new to green tea, we have lots of flavors which many people prefer to start out with. This is what we recommend for beginning. It is virtually bullet proof (knock on Kevlar) The easiest and best brewer we have is: http://www.sbsteas.com/Amazing-Tea-Brewer-Set-w-FREE-Tea-pr-124.html The amazing brewer pot (can you hear the circus music? lol) come with free tea. or http://www.sbsteas.com/Permanent-Tea-Infusers-for-Mugs-and-Pots-pr- 135.html Permanent Tea Infusers for Mugs and Pots Both are great. We have about 5 of the Amazing brewers we use here and at home. LOL They are easy easy to use! HTH _________________ Rachel - Founder http://SBSteas.com Brew our Tea, Taste the Magic!
