Guest guest
Hello All: I notice there isn't any information on this message board about the benefits of aromatherapy massage. I thought I would share some of my experience with you. I first started experimenting with aromatherapy massage when I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. My massage therapist tried a couple different blends before finding the right combination of essential oils to releive the numbness in my hands. Here is the essential oil recipe I use for CTS: 10 drops Marjoram 10 drops Lavender 10 drops Eucalyptus Blended in 1oz Sweet Almond Oil Everybody is different so this blend may not be perfect for you but it worked MIRACLES for me. Research the effects of each oil and experiment until you find the perfect combination for you. You can use essential oils in massage for all sorts of things such as; stress, headaches, muscle & joint pain, arthritis, dry skin, anxiety, panic attacks, and so much more. If you haven't tried an aromatherapy massage yet I highly recommend doing it. You will be amazed at how much better you feel after a good massage with the right essential oils. You can visit my website for more info on the benefits of aromatherapy massage at http://essentialblend.com/massage_oils.htm Debbie
Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this recipe. It sounds like you use this in both full body massage and locally as needed to relieve the numbness. Is this so? Do you have any techniques for self-treatment that you can recommend? Thank you again, Molly Molly Gordon, MCC Shaboom Inc., Life could be a dream... 360-697-7022 mgordon lists www.authenticpromotion.com www.shaboominc.com/blog On Jun 15, 2006, at 9:10 AM, Debbie Marty wrote: > I first started experimenting with aromatherapy massage when I was > diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Guest guest
Same tired old junk on this website from someone who clearly has not studied the subject in depth, or got it from a teacher who knew zilch themselves. >They enter and leave the body efficiently, leaving no toxins behind. Not true, consume too much and you die from liver failure. >These oils are also absorbed easily through the pores and hair >follicles in the skin. Another tired old trade myth that loooks as if it has been copied from one of the popular trade novels - see my website for the truth. http://www.aromamedical.com >Essential oils are taken directly into the blood stream; they have a >positive effect on blood circulation, helping to bring oxygen and >nutrients to the tissues whilst assisting in the disposal of carbon >dioxide and other waste materials. Complete and utter hogwash looking like Young Living's style. Beware of those with flashy web sites who know next to nothing on the trade they have decided to get into. If they know so little on what essential oils are and can do, then you need to consider things such as do the blends comply with known safety issues, are the oils real, etc, etc. Martin Watt , " Debbie Marty " <debbie wrote: > > Hello All: > > I notice there isn't any information on this message board about the > benefits of aromatherapy massage. Guest guest
What makes you such an expert? Are you a certified aromatherapist? I visited your website and didn't see anything that is any different then any other site. It is not that informative because you sell your info. I think you are angry because Essential Blend offers free information that you are trying to sell for profit! The Essential Blend website has all oil precuations clearly stated had you looked. All the essential oils have been tested for purity. You may view the certificate of analysis sheet for each essential oil and you can also request MSDS information for all essential oils. Our oils are free of chemicals and pesticides and do NOT leave toxins behind when used CORRECTLY. I clearly state the blending ratio that should be followed when using essential oils so there is no chance of over dose. I also send instructions as well as precautions with every oil order. Guest guest
Hi Molly: You may use this blend for both full body massage and locally as needed. You may also use about 30 drops in a warm bath and soak for a minimum of 10 minutes. Pat yourself dry as to not rub off the oils on the towel. If you don't have a willing massage partner you can apply the oils yourself on pulse points including; wrists and neck. You may also apply the oil to the base of your spine as it will travel threw out your nervous system helping relieve inflamation and increase blood circulation. I massage the oil on my arms starting at the shoulder and working my way down to the wrist. I massage each arm for 5 minutes which helps the oils penetrate the skin as well as improve circulation. I hope this has been of help to you. Guest guest
I do not appreciate being called a liar and resent your comments. I have never done anything to you or even know you so why do you continue to attack me? My oils have all been tested AT MY EXPENSE and the certificate of analysis sheet comes directly from my testing company. As for my customers, they enjoy my oils and find them very helpful. I receive emails every day thanking me for providing them some relief for whatever their problem may be. Their opinion means much more to me then yours as they have actually tried my products and you haven't. I am not going to waste any more of my time conversing with you. You are VERY unprofessional, rude, opinionated and basically think you know it all. I am not saying you are not educated in aromatherapy but you are by far not the only person in the world who is. Guest guest
>I do not appreciate being called a liar Where did I say that? >I have never done anything to you That is not the issue. The issue is honesty and accuracy of commercial web sites such as yours and that have always been something I have tried to warn people about over many years. For example you said: >You may also apply the oil to the base of your spine as it will >travel threw out your nervous system helping relieve inflamation and >increase blood circulation. That statement is complete hogwash and sounds just like it has come from Young Living. I do not know any other source for that kind of nonesense. >As for my customers, they enjoy my oils and find them very helpful Again you stick to meaningless statements. You should try reading some of my old mailings to groups to see how that kind of statement is used by suppliers to hoodwink their customers. Don't get me wrong on this, I am not saying you are the only one doing this as I have written similarly on other traders before and will continue to. Anyone who thinks they can sell products to a gullible public by misleading them is open to attack from me. I do not make my living selling people products of doubtful merit using incorrect information. I can only spend the occasional time on the newsgroups and so I only manage to pick up the odd messages such as yours. This time it was you next time it will be someone else. Guest guest
> >My question for you and a a few others on this board is, if >essential oils are not taken into the blood stream then why are oils >such as mugwort so dangerous? > >Debbie Hi debbie: Good question, and it prompts a reply to help newbies understand that the main way volatile oils enter the bloodstream is by *inhalation*. True story: back in 2000, I was seeing an acupuncturist who used mugwort in the moxification process (not sure of the spelling.) Dried mugwort, formed into a little cube is lit on fire and inhaled, the needle of the acupuncture being he holder for it. Both the patient and acupuncturist get to enjoy the fumes. I brought a tiny vial of mugwort EO in for the acupuncturist to see, as he had never experienced it. He raised it to his nose, took a little sniff, immediately turned bright red, had a severe reaction, and was off work for two days! His system was sensitive to the concentrated EO, and he " overloaded " with just the one sniff. So, I hope I answered two questions: yes, oils are taken into the bloodstream via their volatile fumes when inhaled, and yes, mugwort is dangerous. http://artisannaturalperfumers.com The Artisan Natural Perfumers Guild http://naturalperfumery.com The premier site on Natural Perfume Biggest, most dynamic natural perfumery chat group
