Guest guest
Hi, I had a similar incident with an order I placed with a toiletry supply business back in December(!!). My card was charged in January but the goods were not shipped until March. I never did receive them. I sent several emails, tried to call (no answer). When the owner finally contacted me, she said the package did get shipped in March since they had provided me with a tracking number (it was shipped by priority mail). I checked the tracking several times and all it said was that the package was supposed to be picked up and shipped on that particular date. When I finally received a reply from the owner, she suggested that I contact the post office to see if they had any undelivered packages because there was no way that my order had not been sent. The post office said there was no way they'd have an undelivered package from that long ago. I sent another email about it but no reply!!! Is a company obligated in any way to re-send an order if it was never received? When I asked the post office if they could verify if it had been delivered, they told me that the sender would have to do it. I sent her an email to see if she could check this out and no reply at all. Needless to say, I am mega-peeved. My money is gone and six months have passed with no kind of resolution, my goods, apology or anything!! Nobody likes to lose money but this was especially painful on my strangle-hold budget. This was supposed to be a good business. I trusted these people and I got robbed! If any of you would like to know the name of the company, send me an email and I'll be glad to tell you. If I can save anyone from going through this 'excrement' then at least some good will have come from it. I'm usually pretty easy going about things, but I need to vent and thought the info may be of some use to those in this group. This year as I have been planting my garden and adding plants especially herbs I came across a Richters catalog and fell in love with their selection. I ordered and and recieved my seeds and books within good time....two weeks later my plants arrived. I was missing 2 individual plants that I paid for as well as 4 from a pack of plants that I paid for. I have since e-mailed (unable to call long distance to Canada) them 3 times and have not received a response yet. I feel that this is absolutely lowsy customer service and I've been robbed! They took my money and have not given me a refund or replacements and the worst part is their lack of communication. I will never order form them again! It is VERY difficult for an online merchant to depend against a chargeback, even when the USPS says the product was delivered, unless there is a signed receipt of delivery. In this case, you'll have no problem, because they have no defense. And you've tried to contact them. It's the folks who never contact the business and just issue a chargeback out of the blue " because I didn't recognize the charge " that make vendors go gray!
