Hi Jennifer,

Thankee ma'am .. reckon it might be my long, curly hair? ;-)

Honest questions I like .. its those tricky ones that can only be

answered with one word .. like .. " do you still beat your wife " , that I

have problems with. ;-)

> If we become sensitized to an oil, would that no create a

Its not a matter of the body letting more oil in .. not a matter of more

of less absorption to a particular level .. its simply " exposure " to the

chemical agent or agents that caused the sensitization in the first

place. When you are again exposed to that chemical(s) that told your

immune system that your body was in danger .. told it there was an

outside invader .. and caused your immune system to go on a high state

of alert .. you will have a reaction .. purty danged quick.

I mentioned in my post to Dave that I would send a follow on post on

Sensitization .. but I didn't. Its coming now.

Don't see anything in the comment that would make me think you were

trying to be whatever .. just a fair question it is. That reaction you

are describing could be irritation .. but it sounds like an allergy ..

or sensitization .. which in some cases can be the same thing.

I get a similar reaction when I am exposed to a product I am now

sensitized to .. but its not natural .. its " Just For Men. " See the

next post.

> And if I gave any information earlier that was misinformed I'm am

> truly sorry..

Not sure what you're talking about there cause there's been too much

water under the bridge lately and I'm not equipped to remember all of

the discussions. But .. even if the point is directed to someone else

on the list .. you are forgiven for whatever you think might have

happened in that post. ;-)

> Also does that work the same for hydrosols as well?

I have no scientific evidence to support my conclusion .. but logic says

that when one becomes sensitized to a chemical .. they will react to the

next exposure regardless of the medium in which that chemical is

delivered. It could be food even.

> I guess it would because the skin is a water barrier...

That is not a factor .. its simply exposure to the chemical that the

immune system has registered as a foreign invader .. when one is again

exposed .. the immune system goes on the defense.

> Also I think a peanut butter mask would be wonderful for a body

I reckon it would be OK .. but I prefer mine with onion and a bowl of

chili .. or on bread with strawberry jam. ;-)

> Jennifer

Y'all have a good one .. and keep smiling. :-)
