I've ordered 100 of their childproof bottle caps, since they are our

supplier... and in my (certified mail thank you kindly, just to cover

myself) reply to the official letter I attached a 'revised' label to see if

they would approve it.

I suspect they will say the font is too small... It's a small LABEL for

crying out loud...how much verbiage can you PUT on a 1 x 2 5/8ths

label. If they approve it, then I WILL continue to sell wth wintergreen.

it is, with appropriate cautions, a powerful pain reliever for acute pain,

and I'd hate to NOT have it available.

SO... the letter, and label, went out yesterday...we'll see how long it

takes them to answer.

since we no longer have a retail store, the tamperproof isn't an issue any

more...I TELL our wholesale customers that the bottles aren't tamperproof.

not going to do it, Roe.... put the childproof ON the bottle. of

course, you need to change your labeling... I'll let you know if our new

labels are approved.

I think! ;)

suggested label revisions from the bureau, via email:

Front label: CAUTION - HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. IRRITANT.

Back label: Contains methyl salicylate. Avoid contact with

skin and eyes. If swallowed, give water and call

physician immediately. In case of contact

with eyes or skin, flush thoroughly with water. For eyes, get

medical attention.

Keep out of the reach of children.

now... the fact that the product is too small to HAVE a back label is not

their problem.

and, of course, with all that, you also want to have all the 'identifying'

stuff that we normally put on labels... AND who you are and where to find

you...also mandated by another gummint branch.

all this in 1 x 2 5/8s

Hi All,

We also have ordered child resistant caps and have devised a second label as

Marge has. These bottles will be packaged in tamper-proof outer packaging.

Our labels currently read: WARNING: For topical use only; do not take

internally. Use diluted and only with reliable instruction. Keep away from

flame; Keep away from children. The second label will read: Contains methyl

salicylate: Potentially harmful or fatal if swallowed. All of this

information will also be on the outer tamper-proof packaging, along with

instructions similar to Marge's advise in case of ingestion.

Looking forward to Marge's reply to see if this will suffice based on their

response to her.
