If you want the scent of chamomile to come through in the soap, you can

infuse the water very strongly (make a strong tea) with the chamomile. Then,

one

of the oils you plan to use can also be warmed with chamomile flowers until

the oil/flower mixture smells sort of like nuts and apples. Strain both,

because the flowers can mold in soap. Do not use either the water or the oil

to

make soap until they have completely cooled. A tiny bit of chamomile eo at

trace is a wonderful addition if you have it.

People often wonder if the properties of botanicals and such really stay

with soap. If you want to see for yourself, try making cucumber soap by

grating

up a cucumber and heating it in one of the oils before soaping. The soap

will be noticeably astringent and have a slight " pulling " effect.
