Guest guest
Hi, I am a soapmaker in France, and just noticed the recent posts about EO limits in some products. My soap recipes have been certified by a professional cosmetic chemist who follows the european recommendations about EO limits in soap and other products. Are there rules in the States about how much of which EOs can/cannot be used in certain products? Please tell me which web sites to look at for this information. TIA, Karen (a Hoosier)in France
Guest guest
Hi Karen in France With how strict the rules have gotten over there, if your soaps have been ok'd for sale in Europe, you are probably not going to run into any problems, formulation wise, selling them here in the US. That being said, this is probably the place you'll want to start looking for that info: http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/%7Edms/cos-toc.html Also, some of the links from the IFRA's page probably would be helpful for you too: http://www.ifraorg.org/Links.asp *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com karen rink Hi, I am a soapmaker in France, and just noticed the recent posts about EO limits in some products.
