Guest guest
Hey folks, My back is FINALLY feeling quite right. I obviously tweaked myself better than I originally thought! So I'll be getting back online, answering e-mails, etc .. over the course of the next few days. I have to get out my new newsletter, update the website and get the newest pre-buys announced too! In the meantime, I figured we'd move along, past the understandable " holiday humor " and other lazy summer OT ramblings that have taken over (practically none of which I've even gotten to glance at yet). It is time to get back to biz-niz! So, I ask the question .... What is in your sunny windowsill? In my screened in porch room, in which the south and east sides are practically one big sunny windowsill, I have a whole lotta happy plants, and some plants on the mend, including some Melissa that has taken refuge in there, cause it was hating life in the garden ... any tips on growing Melissa in a subtropical climate with clay soil would be appreciated!!! So far 3 Melissa plants have NOT liked it here. The north facing windowsill is my rooting zone, in which I have 2 frangipani cuttings from my neighbor rooting, a hibiscus, as well as a fig tree, and a sugar cane stalk I planted as a housewarming gift for my friend whom I just helped move (and pulled my back out doing it) ;-p Also, I have a variety of herbs including Alkanet Root, Marshmallow Root, Comfrey (Leaf & Root), Deerstongue, Nettles, Calendula, etc ... infusing in oils such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Green Tea Seed Oil and Jojoba. Now, of course HAVE to mention to folks who might get the idea to have fun infusing herbs - DO NOT put herbs infusing in high proof ALCOHOL in a sunny window. High proof alcohol can actually explode because of the vapor & heat combo. No reason to chance it. Put those in the closet to infuse ... So, with that being said, inquiring minds want to know .... whatchya got goin' on!?! *Smile* Chris (list mom) Hathor's Hot Babe Hair Products See What All The Raves Are About! http://www.alittleolfactory.com/hathorhair.htm
Guest guest
If you are having a problem with clay...get gypsum and add it to the soil. It is amazing how this changes the clay to a good soil and unlocks the nutrients so that the plants are much happier...
