Guest guest
Please excuse me if this has already been addressed. My schedule does not permit me to explore the archives at this time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I may treat a big sting that I received the other day. I have itching, puffiness/swelling, stinging sensation. The bee stung me on my left forearm near the wrist. I'm a massage therapist and use my forearm in my work (although thankfully not as much as my right arm). However, working with it yesterday exacerbated the symptoms. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance to all those who respond. Guest guest
in my family we have used either meat tenderizer mixxed with water to make a paste or Toothpaste. on the bee sting. Also some lavander wouldn't hurt any. -Sarah Tcarson680 wrote: > > Please excuse me if this has already been addressed. Guest guest
Homeopathic Cantharus 30c or Carolicum 30c (if more severe reaction). Effective herbs include Jewelweed or Plaintain. The next time you get stung, make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply and leave at least until dry. (The sooner you can apply this mixture, the better). Take 4 capsules of Activated Charcoal along with this. The paste pulls out the poison and the charcoal helps remove any poison that may have gotten into the system. I used to have to get shots anytime I was stung by a bee. Since I have used the baking soda and charcoal remedy, I have never had to have another shot. Hope this helps. Guest guest
In the earlier response I sent, I goofed. It should have been Carbolicum 30c, not Carolicum 30c. Sorry. For me, bee stings are not even noticeable after the initial pain is gone – sixty seconds, maybe. The best remedy I know is meat tenderizer. Make a paste and put it on the sting. Guest guest
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I may treat a big sting that I received the other day. I don't know about over 24 hours after the fact, but when first happening, make a poltice/paste of tobacco and water. Apply and let set for 30 minutes to 1 hour, and it draws out the bee venum or what ever. Could the stinger still be in the bite area? Check with a magnifiying glass, and get it out if it is. Anita . Guest guest
Plantain works really well. Some chew it up and put the " chaw " on the sting. I like to put it in my mini-processor with a tiny bit of water, stuff the mush in a muslin bag, and then apply it to the sting for 10 minutes or so. Guest guest
Hi You could try using a paste of Bicarbonate of Soda and a little water. Apply it generously and cover with some gauze overnight. I would also suggest keeping the area well occluded whilst carrying out any massages. Hope you are feeling better soon. Dawn > Please excuse me if this has already been addressed.
