Making Soap In The Car

Hey folks,

 

With this nation wide heat wave going strong, I figured I'd share my

very favorite hot weather, energy saving, soap making tip - hot

processing in the car! It doubles as an air freshener too

 

Here in my neck of the woods, which is SE Gulf coast TX, temps inside a

car can easily hit 150F or more! This creates the perfect solar oven for

soap making. Actually - I got this tip from our resident TX Savonniers!

Simply mold your soap, insulate it, stick it in the trunk or back seat

of your car that is baking in the 90F+ heat with direct sun beating down

on it, and a few hours later, voila, hot process in the mold soap (and a

nice smelling car)!
