Hi Pam,

Olive oil is really good for AFTER being in the sun, but it is not a

sunscreen or sunblock. Also, I'd certainly not rely on only heli EO to

do the job - as the " sunblock " recipe below does - and the " sunscreen "

recipe is quite lacking IMHO.

I personally would feel more comfortable trusting my alabaster pallor to

a concoction containing Zinc Oxide, Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Shea Butter,

Sea Buckthorn and Sesame Seed Oil, with some helichrysum in the mix too

- maybe even a bit of virgin coconut ...

FWIW, I also wear big hats and stay in the shade when I can ;)

SUNBLOCK: Mix 3-6 drops Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum) with 100

drops of olive oil. Apply on skin every few hours.

SUNSCREEN: 1 oz. sesame oil, coconut oil, and olive oil...(I would just

use our V-6) and add 10 drops Helichrysum, 5 drops lavender, 3 drops

Chamomile. Mix and apply.

came off a 'you know what' group - just wondering if anyone has used

this combination??

thanks

Pam

Hi all,

IMHO - hemp oil is incredible used after a sunburn - especially mixed into a

soothing cream.

Considering the price of Helichrysum, seems like a very expensive

sunscreen, that there is no scientific info on. Sunblock is one of

those thinks not to fool around with.

Helichrysum has some wonderful uses. I doubt this is one of them.

[Dave]:  Considering the price of Helichrysum and the fact that olive oil

will make ya sizzle, seems to me like a little Desitin in the oil would do

the same job for less.
