Guest guest
Hello all , Well I am having major problems on my lower lipline and chin with whiteheads !!! How on earth does one get rid of these? of course by now I have done the ultimate no -no and squeezed the heck out of my face and so have made it all three times as bad ...face wasnt so great in the first place as at the grand old age of 67 my skin seems to be giving up on me! but this is not helping at all! I know one of you will have a great way to get rid of these darn things, I have checked OTC stuff but can't find anything that says whiteheads, it's all for the black things. Guest guest
whiteheads Hi Britplum, I just had my first facial at 47 and the girl doing my facial said blackheads and whiteheads are basicly the same thing-blackheads having dirt trapped inside the pore. After digging into the blackheads on my nose with what felt to be a very sharp implement for an extemely long time(big pores/lots of blackheads). She actually told me to squeeze my nose every night!!! So some one is changing the rules... I tell you the treatment was torturous......not exactly the relaxing time I thought it would be. I have 2 tattoos and I dont remember it being as painful as this! However my nose does look a bit better. Guest guest
..What I have read is mix 5 drops of bergamot and 5 drops of thyme linalol into 1 tablespoon vegatable oil and massage morning and night with a tiny bit of this mixture and they will be reabsorbed by the body....this only applies to the very small ones. If left alone they can get very large and there doesn't appear to be a hole for them to come out. __ Zo,Zo Zo www.bosquebathandbody.com Z_._,___
Guest guest
Since I've started making my own soap, and other facial products I haven't had a problem. I used to have clogged pores on my nose all the time. Try using a clay or mud mask on you face. Or try a cucumber facial. These ideas may help. Sure wouldn't hurt. Anita . Guest guest
It is my understanding that both BLACK & white heads are the same white heads have NOT broken through the skin to reach the air, Black heads Have reached the air and have turned black it really has nothing to do with dirt in the pores I hope this helps some you can always google it Leo It is my policy to no longer use language that accepts the current concept of animals as property, commodities and/or things. Rather than refer to myself or others as " owners " of animals we share our lives with, I now refer to myself and others as " guardians " of our animal friends and to animals as " he " or " she " rather than " it. " Guardians do not buy or sell animals; instead they rescue and adopt. I urge you to do the same. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ whiteheads Hi Britplum, I just had my first facial at 47 and the girl doing my facial said blackheads and whiteheads are basicly the same thing-blackheads having dirt trapped inside the pore. Guest guest
Blackheads aren't caused by dirt, they are caused by the oxidation of a plug of sebum (skin oil). I recommend using an AHA product. There are a lot of them on the market. I use the 10%, but if you are sensitive you can get lower concentrations. I've had a lifetime of a nose covered with blackheads, and they are no more. Wish I'd known about AHA when I was younger. Joanne -- In , " britplum " <palaurie wrote: > > Hello all , > Well I am having major problems on my lower lipline and chin with > whiteheads !!! Guest guest
Has anyone ever tried the Biore strips that promise to just pull them out? I've been tempted. Susan H. Guest guest
I have Susan, but once you start using em. You have to keep using them, or make sure you exfoliate, because it's like shaving your legs.. Once you start things are never the same. Guest guest
Hello Patricia! I've read your post on your 67 year old skin and can tell you I have personally seen absolute miracles occur with using Dead Sea Mineral Mud on all skin types - ranging from ages 4-80! I know it sounds too good to be true, but I have been researching, importing, distributing, testing & formulating with Dead Sea raw materials since 1998. I recently finished my Master Instructor Licensing in the Beauty Industry and am currently talking with the Alabama Board of Cosmetology about opening an alternative school for CEU's. (Yes, I'm that serious & passionate about what I do!) There are numerous people on this forum and others that have met me in person and have witnessed tremendous results using Dead Sea Mud, Salts, Clay & Brine for hair, skin & nail disorders. I was a speaker at the NFC Group Conference the first part of this month and shared the numerous ways this awesome mud could be utilized. The following is a recent testimonial from one of the participants at that conference who used the mud for pain relief: I also wanted to tell you that I used the mud on my hands and wrapped them in saran wrap for about 20 minutes. I have really bad pain in my hands and the pain moves around. My hands immediately felt better and they did not hurt for a whole WEEK. I have been telling everyone. My husband saw what I was doing and asked me if I thought it would help his knee that he injured years ago. It is ALWAYS swollen and he is pain quite often. I " mudded " his knee, let it start to dry and then wrapped it for about 20 minutes. He has not complained about his knee hurting in days....I can't believe it! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful product with us. I want to share it also to others it may help. Thanks so much, Lanita The red-head in Tallahassee ) The uses are literally endless! The only reason it won't work is because you don't use it! ) You can down load our presentation in a PDF format on the website and retrieve the many reasons why it really does work. To order - you must email for our private shopping cart. Please name the forum you are on. HTH!
