Guest guest
if not - what would be the difference? CASSIA (cinnamomum cassia) and Cinnamon Leaf (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) I'm still trying to match up oils for the popular 'other' 12 essential oils of the bible. I'm also still in need of any sites that would sell something to 'package' these oils in - I can do the graphics, just need something to package it in that would look really nice. thanks for any help - and thanks for those of you that have emailed me off list with help too! As I said earlier, Cassia is a strong sensitizer and irritant, Cinnamon leaf is an irritant, but not a sensitizer... Cassia doesn't belong in any product that will be applied topically. Cassia is sometimes called " chinese cinnamon...it has a different aroma from true cinnamon bark... smells more like chewing gum to some of us. http://www.naturesgift.com/essential/descriptionc-d.htm#CASSIA http://www.naturesgift.com/essential/descriptionc-d.htm#CINNAMON the second link takes you to both cinnamon bark AND cinnamon leaf... > >I'm still trying to match up oils for the popular 'other' 12 essential >oils of the bible. > >I'm also still in need of any sites that would sell something to 'package' >these oils in - I can do the graphics, just need something to package it >in that would look really nice. > >thanks for any help - and thanks for those of you that have emailed me off >list with help too! > >Blessings ~ Pam > > Over 10 years online supplying Aromatherapy and Healthcare Professionals Essential Oils, Hydrosols, Accessories, Hard to find Books and Videos <http://www.naturesgift.com>
Guest guest
Thanks Marge I'm learning quite a bit here :-) ... I appreciate the info and am saving it in my file - preciate it! mmm so you shouldn't really use cassia then for topical use - I've tried doing a search on it - but the first 5-6 pages are all devoted to YL stuff on google - so am not learning too much on this particular oil. They don't offer it as a single oil - just in the bible oil kit - so not sure how they advocate using it - will have to ask someone who sells it I guess. I know my mom buys the cinnamon bark oil from them all the time and is always putting drops of it on her tongue to give her nice smelling breath - I keep telling her she's going to burn up her tongue :-) - Pam , Marge Clark <marge wrote: > > At 07:20 PM 7/28/2006, you wrote: > >if not - what would be the difference? > > > >CASSIA (cinnamomum cassia) and Cinnamon Leaf (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) > > first of all, they are obviously from different varieties. cassia is > distlled from the bark, not leaf. > > they are very different in properties...
