Guest guest
When my face is looking crappy, you know, ignored for a while, I use both an AHA cleanser and lotion daily for a couple weeks. I like the 10% which I tolerate well. Once I start looking back in shape, I only need to use it a couple times a week to keep my skin in shape. I'm sure if I paid more attention I would stick to a routine, but I get busy and start letting the skin regemin slide from time to time. I've made my own glycolic acid lotion at times, but I also pick it up at drugstore.com. It is not expensive. It's also great for things like the back of your upper arms or any place else that you might need to exfoliate. Sort of a lazy man's exfoliating. I just slap it on at night, shower in the morning. Guest guest
Depends on the concentration. Small amount will act to exfoliate. Large amount will peel. Most products such as creams are designed to exfoliate. The stuff dermatologists use are stronger and more of a peel. AHA's are often referred to as fruit acids, malic acid (originates in grapes), glycolic acid (sugar), citric acid(citrus). Became quite the thing in the '90's in skin care products.
