Christina put it all together, so I need to first thank her for that! And the hotel we stayed at was too cool, with all it's secluded courtyards, completely original individual casitas, gorgeous plants, art in the oddest places and cats everywhere. Ask Kathleen to tell you about how I went looking for kittens one night! I can see why they have so many weddings there, BTW. And of course, it was very cool meeting Alison from Boston, who is my leftie Virgo soulsister, as well as Michele/Chaeya from LA, who is coming down to visit the Scripps Aquarium in La Jolla hopefully soon! All the food was excellent, I just wish I could find Indian Fry bread and fresh NM chili sauce like that locally. <sigh> The ghost tour me and my sis did was much more entertaining than I expected it to be. And last, but not least, Butch and Kathleen were too funny and thick as thieves 90% of the time! Once they get get going there's truly no stopping them. :-)) Take care, Stacey who is still working on personal followups to everyone P.S. Butch's baby Alex and wife Tanya are both as gorgeous as all get out! :-D
Guest guest
Thick as thieves? Well, I wouldn't go that far. Cat and Dog thieves perhaps... Cat and Dog drinking, arguing, bickering, bantering thieves is more like it. Which reminds me, I owe him either a bottle of Jack Black or a bottle of bourbon. He was kind enough to let me have a sip of his Raki and a sip of his Bailys. What Stacey neglected to mention was yes there was a lot of Aromatherapy discussion going on. Butch did his spiel on olfactory and I did my on YL and certain folk who encourage the use of EO's neat on the skin. There was sniffing going on as well. I got one of Alisons WONDERFUL soaps. During the spiel I gave, Butch pointed out that it's not the FDA that one needs to be worried about it's the FCC with false advertising and people were going to get their heads broken open and their bank accounts emptied if they don't stop making unprovable claims on their products. I also discussed that survey at AS and that as of right now, TWENTY SEVEN PERCENT of folk who answered had some sort of problem with EO's on their skin. This is a young survey however and the numbers will prolly change a bit (if you haven't taken it, please do. If I'm EVER asked to give a talk again I'll prolly be dragging those numbers into it.) but if they don't, I'm going to be jumping on the " DON'T use EO's on your skin, just sniff them " band wagon. There was also Ghost watching going on, and oh yes, The Kitties. >snicker< While sitting on my bench next to my room at night, a couple of Kitties came by to play. They were lovely. A bit jumpy but that was only to be expected. So when the group got together I told Stacey about the kittens. As she was in the Casita behind me she thought she would go see if she could find them. As she left the area, being the rotten person I am, I explained to everyone ELSE that the " Kittens " were actually half grown skunks. She came back disappointed. She didn't see the kittens. And then had a few choice words to say when " kittens " was explained to her. Fortunately she's a good sport and did get to see them the following evening. Butch said that Thursday night, he saw about eight of them. There was also shopping going on, I spent a WHACKING amount on Beads, presents a new handbag and chocolate. Christina did an excellent job of setting things up and when they didn't go according to plan, she didn't blow a fuse and everyone seemed to have a great time. Michelle by the way, did do some talking about her testing of oils for her college project. She plans to do some more of that when she has time. And when she has time, she's going to send me her paper that she wrote and I'll be publishing it in AS. Oh! Stacey is 100% correct. Tanya and Butch have got themselves one seriously beautiful baby. Who, by the way, poses real well for the camera! Hope the note from Stacey and meself have filled in holes fer ya. K On 8/9/06, Stacey <stacey612 wrote: > > > > -- Cheers! Guest guest
Hey kids!!! I came back from ABQ with all these visions of grandeur of having all this time to get stuff done and here it is the second week of August and I haven't gotten squat done but more homework that I didn't get done in ABQ, and I have school starting up in two weeks - okay enough fussing about my life. I enjoyed Albuquerque and meeting Christine, Stacey, Allison, Kathleen and Butch. Christine and Stacey are absolutely awesome for putting this together and for a personal matter they helped me with. Kathleen and Butch had great updated information on EOs. I'm currently using the soap that Allison shared with all of us - It's basically a large shell that serves as the dish and a seashell shaped soap that's really good. I have to admit I kinda was looking for " kittens " too and Christine does Reiki like I do and she was feeling some great energy spots and I couldn't follow because I was too tipsy. Butch is very entertaining to say the least, and his son is very cute! and his wife is very nice. Christine and her husband and I took a great tour of the botanical gardens and Christine got some great shots with her camera. We met up with Stacey and her sister and saw the aquarium which was really no different than the Aquarium of the Pacific here in Long Beach. Yes, Stacey I am planning a trip down your way very soon. Kathleen, I will organize my notes and get my photos off to you to see if you can sort them out. Otherwise, I might have to do the test again with a better digital camera. I think I'll just use my camcorder that digital shots next time. Anyway, that's my report. Michele
