internal herbs to help wounds

Hi folks,

So I cut myself on glass last night, got 8 stitches at the emergency

room. :-( I'm fine, but I can't take the dressing off or get the area

wet for 5 days. So no poultices or creams, etc.

I'm going to the store to get some homeopathic arnica... I wondered

what else you folks would recommend. St. John's Wort, Self-Heal,

Calendula, Echinacea? Can any of these taken internally help? Tea?

Tincture? Whole herb caps?

Any other suggestions?

Warmly,

Josh

Josh,

Homeopathic Arnica sounds like a great idea.

You might also try some serious tapping, as in EFT.

Amazing stuff, literally free at your fingertips,

and especially good for an occasion like this one

that had some trauma involved.

This link goes straight to the free e-book that

teaches you how to do it.

Ien in the Kootenays, tapping!

I'm doin the arnica... 9C was recommended to me by the health store worker, I

hope that's what I should be using :-)

I'm very familiar with EFT, but never seemed to have much result with it on

physical stuff, personally. I still use it for emotional/cognitive/energetic

shifts and releases. Guess I need to unplug more from the mind/body split

paradigm.

Hi Josh and everybody:

In what form, Josh, are you taking arnica? I have been diagnosed with MDS (it's

a blood disease) and was wondering if this would help. Also, (this may seem

dumb) what is EFT? I am currently taking two different herbal combinations to

try to help with this situation. Although my white blood count is still below

normal, the cancer doctor told me I was 'stable'. Any help or suggestions would

be greatly appreciated.

Blessings and love,

Effie

>Josh could you please tell me where you are getting your arnica.

I was getting it at the health food store in the next state from where I

live but last time I was up there they didn't have it.

Thanks Ida

Hi there,

It's homeopathic, 9C was recommended for my acute injury (not sure if

I agree, but don't really know enough about it), from one of the

common homeopathy brands. I'm sure you can order it online.

EFT = emotional freedom technique... http://www.emofree.com ... it's

an acupressure based " energy psychology " technique.

Where are you located? You can search for EFT practitioners on the

website, although I'd be inclined to see an acupuncturist were I in

your situation.
