Guest guest
My sister sent this to me, by signing up you receive a free bag of chocolate, perfect timing for Thanksgiving ( well here in Canada anyways). Everyone that joins our team (including you!) during September will get a coupon for a free bag of Nestlé Chocolatier™ Baking Chocolate. (It should be popping up in a store near you this month.) If this isn't a reason to shout about the Chocolatier team from the rooftops, what is? http://nestlechocolatier.fanfly.net/?C1853_543406 Just above. Now speaking of chocolate does anyone know of a good source of chocolate for a diabetic? My boyfriend who used to be a chocaholic, became diabetic three years ago and really misses his fix, lol…Have a great weekend all. Guest guest
Hiya Carol: Russell Stover makes both Low Carb and Sugar Free Candies that are delish! Know anyone nearby one of their outlet stores? Can also find the Chocolate Candy Chips for baking in some stores. Everytime I find it on sale, I grab one and put in the freezer for later. <grin> Same as regular chocolate chips except it is made with sugar alcohols. Here is how it works out: Diabetics go by carbs to have the most successful diet to control sugar. Net carbs on the Russell Stover chips are 0.8. You take deductions with the sugar alcohol, and I'm not sure exactly how it works but here is their low down: Serving size: 1 TBL Carbs 9.4g (-) Fiber <1.2> (-) Sugar Alcohol <7.4> Net carbs: 0.8 Less than one carb They make a very very decent Truffle (in the gift box sizes, not the small bags}~when you can find it. When there are sales on candy, you can usually find the Low Carb or Sugar Free on sale too in drug stores, etc. Whitmans is related to Russell Stover somehow and they make one or both of them too. Note: Never eat too much at one time. Why? Overload can cause the runs. Ask me how I know? giggles In the Summer, hubby loves milkshakes and malts. I made the mistake of use the Sugar Free Choc. Ice Cream and the chocolate sauce in making a helluva milkshake. They were delish, but we ran for a full day! Lesson: All good things in small doses. <grin> Guess it works like that cooking oil that bypasses the stomach?? BTW, most Dollar General Stores and Family Dollar Stores are carrying a small bag of RS's Sugar Free Candies. Dollar General is $1, Family Dollar is $1.50 The chocolate covered peanut butter patties are delish! They also carry a peanut carmel and chocolate, Choc Mint patty~which runs higher in carbs, etc. This is a great way to check them out if there is not one of their stores nearby. Now, go buy that boy some Chocolate....LOL Enjoy! deb Now speaking of chocolate does anyone know of > a good source of chocolate for a diabetic?
