Guest guest
Aromatherapy, herbs, natural living, etcI finished my cancer treatment a month ago. I am a lover of essential oils and have been using them for at least 10 years or so. I must be honest, during treatment I was not much interested in them. Nothing natural really calmed my anxiety enough and certainly did not take away the cancer. What helped me was being able to talk with soemone and be completely honest. There were a few people that were excellent for me through this. My onc/gyn that did my surgery and my rad/onc, the lady that manages Curves, where I work out, and my husband. Most everyone else didn't want to or didn't know how to walk that path with me and sometimes I felt abandoned until I finally got strength on my own (and alot of that happened because of my rad/onc surprisingly spending as much time as I needed to talk) Of course some folks thought I was the last person on earth they would have thought to get cancer because I advocate herbs, natural products and healthy living and do live that out pretty well. The best words of advice I want to share is keep your friend beleiving that she does not have to die. Give her words of love and inspiration so that she has the desire to live. I just saw a lady yesterday that was expected to die early this year. Emphesyma turned to lung cancer and I think it spread as well. I was stunned to see how happy and good she looked even though she is undergoing chemo and dying. She is traveling some. DONT let your friend give up. Love her. Do things with her if you can. And if you try the EO thing, I agree on rose otto. But since that is a hefty investment that she may not well receive, I would see if she reacts positively to a bottle you have around. Like I said, natural products did not really get me the releif I needed at first, and essential oils were not even processed by my soul(for lack of a better word at the moment) the same way when I was going through my grief, fear and anxiety. Do you make cream? Maybe a nice cream of lotion may be good for her, esp if she needs to go through radiation. Then she can get some aromatherapy benefit and work on skin healing too. I am sorry this is so long. I really want to help somehow and being detailed is the only way I know how.
