To think what might have happened is really unthinkable! Damn good example of what we all fear IF we are hospitalized .. and damn good example of why there should be oversight .. and legislation if necessary .. to ensure that humans are not treated as shabbily as they are in MANY VERY EXPENSIVE hospitals in the USA. If the Veterans Admin can get their ducks in order .. then the private hospitals can follow suit. One would think that the elected excrement heads in the USA would get off their lazy self-serving asses and do something positive. The reason they don't do something about the medical system is the same reason why they don't deal with the social security system .. it doesn't affect them and theirs .. with but a few rare exceptions, what they do (be they Democrat or Republican) is only what can make them look good and win reelection. Almost all of them are Self-Serving folks. If a member of my family were to become victimized by the system .. I'm afraid that my reaction would be such that they would be making another Death Wish movie because I would certainly seek revenge!
