Friday KFOX learned that mosquitoes have tested positive for the West Nile Virus in Deming. No human cases have been found there but the New Mexico Health Department is on guard. " We have positive mosquitoes and mosquitoes are what transmit West Nile Virus so if we have positive mosquitoes the likelihood of having human cases is obviously going to increase, " said Chris Minnick, of the New Mexico Department of Health. Two deaths in El Paso are still being investigated as possibly being linked to the West Nile Virus. Copyright 2006 by KFOXTV.com. El Paso, Tx * Las Cruces, NM - All rights reserved.
