I owned a foreign Invested (American) owned Turkish company and paid taxes in Turkey from 1995 to 2005 .. lots of taxes. However, I had ABSOLUTELY NO right to free medical care under their social security system. The reason for this was .. I was not a Turk and had not applied for and been approved for Turkish citizenship. I had a work permit .. that's all. I expect that might be the case in most countries.
