Guest guest
Martin. I am so glad you are feeling better, it is no fun to have that cough. I got it too, while in the nursing home, recuperating from my many fractures last year. Also, I think that those tubes down the throat, have something to do with the cough, for it's a different one than having a cold. What helped me the most was to have a Thermos with hot thyme, lemon and plenty of honey in it to zip and a bedside hot humidifier. I had to buy it myself, it is a small unit that also is supposed to 'clean' the air, something that is a good thing to have in a nursing home, which are notoriously dry in cold weather. I had stitches from below the knee to the groin and also feared them to pop open with every cough. American's do not use 'covers' ( Duvet) for their bedding , mainly a loose 'draw' sheet under it, tucked over. I agree, not a good idea to put EO's directly on an electric blanket, but the heat from it would be the 'diffuser' part and has merit and a drop on a draw sheet or duvet, would work well.
