H20 is minute compared to the size of most of the chemicals in essential oils. All these crazy ideas have been advanced on various newsgroups over the years and none of them stand up to scrutiny. Many aromatherapy teachers continue to spout this rubbish without a shed of evidence and it then becomes another trade urban myth. Medical patches have nothing at all to do with skin absorption in aromatherapy. If you have not already read it, I suggest you take a look at my article on the web site. Nothing has changed since I wrote that in 1995 I think.
