.... and I made up some fabulous little jasmine wickless candle tart

thingies. They are absolutely fabulous and I actually have a real

Jasmine scented candle without going bust!

I love floral waxes - just for that reason .. off to make a batch of

Hathor's Hot Babe Aromatic Shampoo Bars .. which has Jasmine and Orange

Blossom waxes in it!

Anyone else been playing with their floral waxes?

I was wondering when using floral wax in soap, do you put it in the oil

phase or do you add it at trace?

de Tahiti Oil and Jasamine wax and the fragrance is beautiful...I too love all

the floral waxes.

OOPs forgot to add, I have found that working with the floral waxes usually

excellerates trace so get your molds ready! no kidding it is fast. First sign

of trace put in the floral wax then mix it up a bit and you'll see. Bam.. My

first batch clumped up on me and freaked me out.. Still turned out ok but boy

did I ever have a few moments of panic... Ahh, the joys of soapmaking. I LOVE

IT..

Hi Cathy,

I add the floral waxes as part of the scent blend - which I add right

before molding, whether I make HP or CP.

They all smell so wonderful, but I just pull them out and smell them,

then put them away. I am afraid to mess up whatever I make with them,

so I just keep them, until I am sure what to do with them. I am

thinking of trying a soap with them this weekend though. Does anyone

here use the silicon molds for soap? I made a batch two weeks ago and

used muffing pans. They came out of the molds easy enough, but the

texture on the bottom is different than my usual batch. I don't know

if I got too much air in it from making a small batch with the stick

blender, or what the deal was. I do want to figure it out before I

make another batch, and certainly before I use the floral waxes. I

ended up putting it in the oven the next day, because it was so soft,

I was thinking it cooled too quickly. It went into what I believe was

a late gel stage, and is nice to use now, it just looks strange.

Manoi de Tahiti is Coconut oil that is infused with Gardenia Flowers. It is my

new love! Well, that and Tamanu Oil. You can get it scented or plain. Make

sure if you are ordering Manoi that you get it from a reputable supplier. Some

places add fragrance oil to plain coconut oil and package it as Manoi de Tahiti.

Once you use this oil in soaps or lotions or any bath and body product you will

falll in love. I even use it in my suntan lotion!

I have used silicone molds and the soap comes out very nice. They don't seem

to change the texture.. My molds are pretty thick so they retain the heat

well for CP soap. They also work well for HP soap..

You can get it scent free which is like the coconut oil scent or with the

infused flowers. I use it in my cp soaps and add it just before I add my scent,

which is just before I pour it into molds. Manoi de Tahiti really causes cp to

trace fast. I have an awesome Manoi de Tahiti soap recipe if your interested..

As far as using virgin Coconut Oil, I use everything in my soaps! I am still

working on my web site but if you want a peek at my stuff here is the link.

I have so much stuff to upload yet. Wish I had the money to pay someone to

put my site together...

Hugs,

Gloria

Thanks for all the information. More questiona if you don't mind. Do you

use virgin coconut oil? I have some fractionaged coconut oil but it has no

scent. Does Manoi de Tahiti have a coconut scent or just the Gardenia

scent?

Here's a little trick I learned for getting cp soap out of molds. After I let

them setup for about 48 hours, I put them in the freezer overnight. They plop

right out of the molds without any problems in the morning.
