this list can help.

Thank you,

Hard to explain but I get mine from Taylored Concepts in Dallas TX. From

what I understand tho, there are regulations to prevent shipping of it.

Hi Lynn,

I buy it from Snowdrift Farms. There is a table you can use to decide how

much you will need to use. It's really simple. usually it's 80%- 20% . Have fun

!! When you first mix it you have to let it sit a few days to mellow and for the

fragrance oil to blossom.

Sally, Hi,

Thank you, I've wanted to make perfume and have made it before, but didn't

like the vodka in it, I found I liked the perfume oil better, they I remembered

reading something about perfumer's alcohol and decided I wanted to try it, if I

could find it and how to use it.

I'll check it out on Snowdrift Farms, I just love the name anyway.

Thanks again,

Lynn

Perfumers alcohol is simply high proof ethanol, 190-196 proof.

In some states, you can get it by the liter under the name Everclear,

just check it's the 190, not the 150 Everclear.

Many of us perfumers really prefer organic grain or grape alcohol,

with no denaturants added (they can be nasty stuff). I get mine from

http://organicalcohol.com

Hey Lynn,

Try here http://www.snowdriftfarm.com/perfume.html there is tons of

info on what it is, how to use it, usage rates and any regulations

that may coincide with usage. They even have a group list for making

perfumes.

Hope that helps.

I find that organic grape alcohol has a distinct aroma. I use it for making

herbal extracts, but never used it for making perfume for tha reason. Does it

intefere with the scent of the perfume?

Thanks Pahedra,

It does help along with all the other emails. You all are just great with your

knowledge and the sharing of it.

Hi,

If you go back over yesterday and today's . you will find the

answers. Too long to repeal all of them.

I tried to send you a personal email but it bounced back.

Many like it because of the grape scent. If a perfumer wants a fruity

scent, well, there is is, lol. Even the organic grain has a scent.

Thank you Joyce,

There are restrictions if it is over 4 lbs. I checked Snowdrift Farms, as lots

of the ladies suggested and they have the information there.

Hi All

I have been looking for pure athenol 80% or more for some time in

Denmark but it is not available. Anybody know if it is availably

from UK or other EU countries. I am using it mostly for homeopathic

preparations.
