Dear Butch,

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the

Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of

2,112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for the

same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in

the U.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in

the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington immediately!!

What is the kill rate in Chicago these days?????

That is a skewed figure :-) you are not counting the Iraqi deaths during that

same period..

Jan,

I agree with you, lol. Although it is no laughing matter and I don't know about

Chicago, I can tell you the death rate in N.O. is pretty high about now. At

least 300 ( at last I heard) National Guard troops to help control the matter.

And there were 12 or 13 State Troopers also. I think they left. But the Mayor

asked for an extension of the N. G. Pretty sad state our Country is in.
