Guest guest
You're suppose to keep dried herbs in a cool place. I don't really have a cool place to keep them and am wondering if they could be kept outside in the shed? We have very cold winters here so they would be in freezing temps most of the winter but I'm wondering if that would be better for preserving their benefits than being in the warm house. Guest guest
Hi, The danger with that would be that not only would they get cold, they would get damp, and likely turn mouldy. A cool place, would just mean somewhere they dont get overheated. I dry herbs in bunches hung from wire coathangers in my furnace room, and dont always remove them immediately. I do put them into brown paper bags and store them, but my house is the same temperature everywhere. MaryR Well, Naturally - ms8miranda Wednesday, October 25, 2006 8:28 AM Can dried herbs be froze?
