Guest guest
Back by popular demand - a prebuy on the much awaited Decyl Polyglucose or INCI:Decyl Glucoside. This is the newest Plantaren 2000N UP that has just now hit the market!! This is very fresh and has not been sitting in drums. As soon as it is made, it is being sent to us! It will be arriving October 30th ready to pour and ship to you! PLANTARENR 2000N UP is an unpreserved alkyl polyglycoside nonionic surfactant. It provides excellent foaming performance with less irritation potential than most anionic surfactants. PLANTARENR 2000N UP has been designed for ease of formulation into a multitude of high foaming, mild personal care cleansers. It can be used in shampoos, shower gels, bubble baths, facial cleansers, and other personal cleansing products. Decyl Polyglucose is composed of sugar (glucose) derived from corn starch and fatty alcohols (decanol) derived from coconuts. Corn supplies the carbohydrates which are converted with fatty alcohols from native oils, such as coconut or palm kernel oil, into alkyl polyglycosides. Decyl polyglucose is a fatty polyglycoside prepared by reacting cornstarch glucose with natural fatty alcohol. Decyl Polyglucose is considered to be part of a new generation of surfactants. In Europe, where the worlds strictest cosmetic regulations are in place under the EU Cosmetics Directive, the demand for the alkyl polyglucosides increased by 400% in the space of four years. It is readily biodegradable, is an effective, gentle cleaner, extremely mild, performs well in hard water conditions, low in toxicity and clinical tests have shown it to be non irritating, even at high concentrations and extended exposure. It is an exceptionally mild co-surfactant compatible with all types of surfactants (also useful as primary surfactant), foam stabilizer, low defatting but good wetting properties and improves the conditioning effect of cationic surfactants. Polyglucose exhibits all of the mildness traits of nonionics, with the foam of an anionic. It is this unique characteristic that enables it to be utilized as both a primary and co-surfactant in formulations. Many companies with a natural focus to their formulations are now turning to Polyglucose as their primary, and in some cases only, surfactant. It is so mild that it doesn't require blending with any of the mildness additives. Pricing is as follows: $6.50/lb $44.00/gal-8lb ($5.50/lb) Shipping is not included in the above costs. We charge only exact shipping costs. Please Note: Once the minimums are met on the floral waxes we will place the order for these items.
