Guest guest
We had lentil soup for dinner last night, with fresh thyme for flavouring, but it needed just a bit more oomph. So I added a generous glass of home-made red wine, let simmer a few more minutes, and then added two drops of Butch's Oregano. Bingo. Yum. Even better today. Guest guest
Hey Kathleen, > I'm not a " fancy " tea drinker. When it comes to tea I drink it > plain " english breakfast " . I'll be adventerous in my foods, > alcohol, freaking weird with my clothes and hair but leave my > tea alone. English Breakfast Tea is real tea .. all the herbal " infusions " ain't real tea. So there. ;-) > I kinda figured you would be a devotee of Oregano tea, you take the > stuff every which way (except on the skin), but I'm so boring in my > tea tastes it's not funny. Yep .. and I don't get sick either. Ain't took an over the counter or prescription medication since 1996 .. and I am an old feller compared to a lotta you yonkers. I like herbal drinks .. Sage, Oregano, Linden Blossom, Rose Hip, Fennel and such. Alexander's doctor .. a pediatrician with a Ph.D. in nutrition, told Tanya to drink a cup of Fennel tea daily as long as she was nursing. Lots of folks know this is good .. and its not an old wives tale either. As for Oregano tea .. its certainly therapeutic and it really does taste good. Now to what Pam wrote. ;-) > I just did this this morning as I can 'feel' the cold coming thru my > 'back' .. and a travelen upwards...so I tried to add just ONE TINY TINY > TINY droplet of oregano to my organic green tea...oh my.....I DID drink it - > not because it was delish though :-)..only because I know it will probably > knock the germies out! AND I even tried to put it in my 'broccoli' soup that > I concocted today .. oh my ..the oregano taste came thru loud and clear - had > to add a lot more brocolli and I really wasn't so much greenies in my tummy at > the moment..one thing fer sure. The oregano from Butch is VERY VERY strong! > LOL - if it don't get those little bad bug butts....then I don't know what will! Gonna agree with all you said fer'shur! ;-) But drinking infused Oregano leaf and drinking a concoction containing Oregano Essential Oil is two different critters. I put a drop or three of Oregano EO in my soup often .. but I like the taste of it .. and you sho'nuf gonna taste it cause its highly concentrated. Folks who cook with Oregano know that a little bit goes a long way .. and more than a little bit will sho'nuf overpower the taste of the food. ;-) But .. it will kick Big Bad Bug Butts .. PDQ! > As for the Raki, as EYE remember it, I just had the tiniest sip to keep > y'all company. ROFLMAOPIMP and ducking the lightning bolt. Kathleen .. after the first 3-4 glasses of Lion's Milk you remembered very little that night .. so stop trying to BS the troops. I had a spanking new 1 liter bottle of Raki .. and afore I could get my second drink you and Stacey and her sister had done that bottle in. ;-) > K Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
