Hi Sherri,

For me - floral waxes are primarily a perfumery material - and work

especially great for me when making candles and soaps, items where I

normally wouldn't be inclined to add things like Violet Leaf or Jasmine

into the scent blend due to the costs.

Jeanne Rose has an article about using floral waxes in cosmetics on her

site:

http://www.jeannerose.net/articles/essential_flower_waxes.html

Here is a link to:

Final report of the safety assessment of (including other things) Acacia

Farnesiana Flower Wax:

Some very high end lines that are coming out are using flower waxes - a

few examples:

This cream contains Chamomile Wax & Rose Wax

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P42592

And this cream from Fresh contains Helichrysum Wax:

http://www.amazon.com/Fresh-FRESH-Rice-Face-Cream/dp/B00022UB6E

This one contains Rose Wax and Cassie (Acacia) and Narcissus Wax

http://www.dermstore.com/product_Aromessence%99+Baume+de+Nuit+-+Ang%E9li

que+Night+Balm_5668.htm

If you want to get a more detailed idea of each individual wax and the

properties, I suggest looking up the concretes. You might find more info

that way, as the wax is the waxy part of the concrete left behind after

the concrete has been washed and all the liquid stuff went off to become

the absolute.
