Guest guest
This is a question for the folks who are established professionals as well as the newbies going pro .. what are you selling venues this holiday season? By that I mean .. are you doing craft shows/trade shows, or selling wholesale to shops, doing E-Bay, working your established biz (web presence or brick and mortar place), etc ... ? I believe that asking and answering this question gives good resource exposure for folks who are wondering where they can acquire (venues) artisan goods, such as ours, and it also helps the newer biz folks who are just starting to go pro see where and why the seasoned pros pick the targets they do! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com <http://www.alittleolfactory.com/>
Guest guest
I suppose everyone is too busy selling at those holiday venues to have seen/replied this one *lol* Here goes my answer ... Years ago in Colorado, when my biz was rather young, I sold at many holiday craft shows and seasonal street festivals all around the Denver metro area, Boulder and Nederland. It was fun, and a good way to get myself out there and selling to the masses - but to be honest, over time I got burnt out on them .. and I can't stand to do shows anymore. Since I've been in TX I have not done any shows. I have helped my buddy out a few of her shows which are larger convention center events, for example the Texas Home & Garden Show that comes into town for 3 days twice a year .... and I have decided I hate that kind of show venue too! *lol* Its not bad helping her, but watching her get ready for them, and knowing how I feel at the end of the day after doing them (and I don't even have to do most of the talking since its not my products) I remember every time why I personally don't sign up anymore to do shows So, since I know I only get grumpy doing shows at this point in my life - and a grouchy grinch makes a poor sales person {grinz} ... during the holidays I actually focus on sales to my corporate clients who order gift baskets in quantity. Also I have my regular customers who many times order custom arranged gift sets and baskets. That keeps me quite busy through the holidays. Maybe next year, after I restructure some things, I will do something else .. the business plan is always evolving ... but for now that is my holiday venues story *Smile* Chris (list mom) <http://www.alittleolfactory.com> http://www.alittleolfactory.com Christine Ziegler [chrisziggy] Thursday, November 02, 2006 9:47 PM ' ' Holiday Venues?
