OT: Snow In Ankara & Going To Russia

I reckon its all relative. Like Suthran folks panic when driving in

snow and Yankee folks panic when driving in mud. ;-)

But .. I recall barbecuing on my Dad's deck in Colorado Springs, with

snow on the ground .. and we only needed a long sleeve shirt.

Have fun .. but a long way from Siberia I'll be .. Magnitogorsk is in

the West .. fairly close to Chelyabinsk .. near the Kazakhstan border.

Actually, except for the Northern part .. Siberia is a pretty green,

rich piece of property .. lots of natural resources.

 

Danged big country .. look at the scale in the upper left corner.

We're flying from Moscow on the way in .. but if we took a sleeping car

via train (which we plan to do on the way out) it would take close to 30

hours to go from Moscow to Chelyabinsk. ;-)
