Guest guest
Hi Folks, Its been a busy day for me on and off line and I am getting ready to enjoy a relaxing Saturday evening (now that the kids have gone to bed) which will include a stiff drink and a warmed oils hair treatment - containing awapuhi extract - Vanilla Bean infused Virgin Coconut Oil with Awapuhi extract added to it to be exact! I love awapuhi! Maybe more accurately I should say that my hair loves the awapuhi, which in turn makes me love my hair, and that in turn makes me love awapuhi An article I read recently about Awapuhi on a Hawaiian Plants Info web site says: <http://www.canoeplants.com/awapuhi.html> .... perhaps the most common use of `awapuhi kuahiwi is as a shampoo and conditioner for the hair. The juice present in the mature flower heads is excellent for softening and brings shine to the hair. The full article can be seen at: http://www.canoeplants.com/awapuhi.html They are not kidding about how soft and shiny it makes hair! My hair now has a shine like they Photoshop onto the hair shown in those product ads in magazines! {grinz} It appears I can grow awapuhi plants here too - very cool Have a wonderful weekend folks! I'll be at my kiddo's Tae Kwon Do tournament ALL day tomorrow, so I'll see everyone on Monday *Smile* Chris (list mom) Hawaiian Awapuhi & Madagascar Vanilla VCO http://www.alittleolfactory.com/extracts-infusions.htm

I have to use mousse to hold the curls together. I'm just wondering if anybody who uses awapuhi uses mousse over it. Often the mousse gives me a great shine, but not spectacular. Shiny curls rock, and I'd like to have big ol' shiny ones all the time. Just wondering if the mousse would cancel out the awapuhi or if they would compliment each other.
