20/20 Segment

Well, I didn't see the 20/20 segment ... I've been boycotting some of

those shows ... although I don't quite remember why.

 

I live in Texas, have all my life. I'm voting for Kinky Friedman for

governor because he's come out and said he'd legalize marijuana ...

not that it would do any good (the Feds would come swooping down).

 

I will say this, and I am invoking a caveat because I didn't watch

this particular show, but I've seen cops arrest people using

seemingly small reasons -- but mainly to get them off the streets

because of other crimes they've committed.

 

I've had more than my share of encounters lately with the ... NOT

ME! I had a young lady stay with my Mom for a while and I realized

she had stolen Mom's social security number, opened a bunch of

accounts and charged stuff. I can't begin to tell you what I had to

go through to even get her arrested ... the chain of evidence and

proof is very hard to produce. I think that's why a lot of people

are in jail for lesser crimes, because they're easier to get arrested

for and prosecuted.
