Guest guest
Hey y'all, For those who feel a need to defend medications and such .. right on .. I am sure you have valid reasons for your opinions. I don't think there is anyone on this list who would disagree that when there comes a time we need short or long term medication to live happier and longer .. then its a good thing. And I too have elected to have my son become immunized against a lotta bad things .. he gets his 3rd and final of a couple of them tomorrow. But what I think Chris was saying from the git go is .. drug companies are pushing too much stuff on to too many people and government allows them to do it .. and that many of these drugs aren't proven effective or safe .. there are about as many pulled from the shelf annually as there are new ones allowed on the shelf and the reasons for this is a corrupt an inept system that is driven by Big Pharma greed and is not properly monitored by the US Government .. its been that way for too many years. And there is something we can do about it if we want to try .. its not necessarily through our state senators .. they aren't usually in touch with the will of their constituents until right around election time .. but we can work through our state representatives. They are more in tune with what the man/woman on the street is concerned about. There will be political grandstanding in the House from time to time but those fellers and gals often come up with some pretty good stuff that bothers their senatorial compadres. Things that very often become common man/woman desired law. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com

So many folks focus on the presidential elections, but all those folks start locally. When we don't like what is happening, we have to speak up about it. Americans have gotten lazy, and elected officials have forgotten they they are public SERVANTS. Joanne
