Guest guest
Hi everyone....Coming out of lurkdom to ask a question. I've been approached by a prospective wholesale account to make a few different soy candles using essential oils. Can anyone help with usage amounts/ratios. Can you even smell the essential oils in them? Thanks for any help you may toss my way :~) Deb _www.cottagehillsoaps.com_ (http://www.cottagehillsoaps.com/) Soy Candles now on site! Guest guest
Hi Deb, Several candlemakers I know make a pipe when putting eo's into wax. The problem with putting eo's into the whole candle is that you have to use a lot, and its still very faint. To make a pipe - mix the eo quite strong, into wax, and pour it into a mikshake straw, the big one. To get the " pipe " out, put it near heat and slide it out of the straw. Put the pipe into the fridge until it is solid again. Put the pipe into the mold, close to the wick, and pour the wax around it. The wax should be cool enough not to melt the pipe. Some candlemakers also colour the pipe. The pipe will melt along with the wax, and will be stronger in scent Mary Well, Naturally http://www.wellnaturally.com - dking12924 Sunday, November 12, 2006 2:12 PM Eos in Soy Hi everyone....Coming out of lurkdom to ask a question.
