Guest guest
Hi, I'm going thru chemo for a pelvic mass and I'm doing incredibally well; however, having lost my hair I'm experiencing little red bumps and itching on my scalp. This could be from a lot of things, I just don't know. I've tried a 10% helichrysum but it doesn't seem to help. If you have any ideas, I would appreciate it. I'm walking the middle path with this health issue, using traditional and supporting with all kinds of alternatives. Thanks, Bobbye Stegen

I get that on my legs from shaving...could you very gently exfoliate - like with a washcloth not anything too scrubbie, and perhaps that would help. BEST WISHES for your continued healing!! It's almost as if the hair follicles become inflamed. When you think about it, if the hair is falling out because of the chemo, it is clear that the hair follicle is being impacted by the chemo. I made a lotion for a friend that contained infused calendula in light olive and jojoba and aloe juice as the water phase. She found it to have a very cooling effect on the bumps on her scalp and it relieved the itching. Aloe helps with eczema too. In my case, it seems to relieve the inflamation. So you may need to look for anti-inflamatories to help with your inflamed hair follicles. Joanne
