Guest guest
Someone responded to the laundry soap question by adding a note that they put fragrance oil on a washcloth, put it in the dryer and it acts like a dryer sheet to scent the clothes. I have tried this 100 different ways and cannot get the scent to transfer to the clothing. I have used a washcloth with EO's dropped on it, I have poured some eco-friendly fabric softener on the washcloth and put it in the dryer-nothing works. I like to use vinegar in the wash as a fabric softener and have added about 5 drops of EO's. The clothes come out of the washer smelling great, but once they are dried the scent is gone. I have tried the heat setting, the cool setting-only line drying seems to leave a LITTLE scent but hardly compared to when they initally come out of the machine. How do you get the scent to stay???? Guest guest
Hey Susan, I am sorry you are having such trouble with this. I did not use EO's I used a candle Fragrance Oil. I put it on a wash cloth and then put it in with the clothes. I have also done this by putting it on a couple of the socks that were going in the dryer. I have never used my essential oils for this. Perhaps that is the difference, perhaps someone else can chime in. I am sorry I can not be more helpful. Phaedra Have You been Pampered Today? Anyway, I've given up on using EO's in the wash as it is a waste of good product. Susan
