Guest guest
I like to use a lot of the pines on my artificial garland, it doesn't help the look ( still looks like old plastic) but it smells 'right " . I do have a real tree, not sure if that's good or bad these days, the guy I buy from plants two more for everyone sold. For the house, I like to blend orange, clove and cinnamon with a tiny touch of sandalwood, I diffuse this in my family room. It makes my house smell yummy, makes the kids crave cookies, lol.. What is your fav mix this holiday season? Carol
Guest guest
Carol, I like to take Cranberry, pomigranite, cedar * only a touch*, cinnamon, clove, orange, vanilla and sandalwood and make a scenting mix then put it on cut dried slices of orange or apple and string these with cranberries and sometimes pinecones to make decoration for the house.. i often use pine boughs and cedar branches to add these to and make swages for the wall. Smells divine all season and causes virtually no mess. HUGGS Vicki cjpearce <cjpearce Saturday, December 2, 2006 12:21:25 PM whets your favorite oils for Christmas and what do you do with them? Guest guest
Vicki, your blend sounds heavenly. My local grocery store chain is selling cinnamon pine cones, and they smell great, I use those to scent the bathrooms. When I took the pine cones out they had such an intense smell, but after a few days the scent was barely there unless you held them right up to your nose. I thought the eo would " soak " into the pine cones but it seems to have evaporated. Any suggestions? Susan > > > > > >
