Ien, I know what your post was meant to say & that same theory is drilled

into our servicepeople - the Military is your family, life & covers your back.

Being the old woman that I am some of the language was a little rough. I do

think maybe some did not read it as it was meant to be but others read it as an

offense to military personnel. I did not read it that way.

Yes this is a free country & people have the right to voice, to a certain

extent, their opinions/beliefs. Yes we vote in our politicians but this is

where I will probably get a rash of doo-doo - if everyone will remember that

wars start because of things like 9-11 & other atrocities that have happenend in

the world, not because a politician " wanted " to go to war for whatever reason.

Politicians that are voted in handle these situations differently. Some have

chosen to defend & try to prevent this from happening again, others would have

tried " talking " & " reasoning " with the terrorists.

" I don't know of a single person of the 35 and under generation,

who joined the

service but for two reasons; they could not afford college and this

would pay for their education - or - the didn't want to go to

college

but also had no career, and the military gave them an opportunity

to

earn a living. "

I have to disagree with this - I have family members, friends, & frineds

who have sons/daughters that have joined the military because they truly love

their country, believe in freedom not just for us but that everyone should have

the right to freedom also. They didn't join because they have to but because

they wanted to.

God Bless You & Yours,
