Eight ordinary pebbles

But I have these eight tiny pebbles, very ordinary pebbles, that I

can't seem to let loose of. Every time I feel them in my pocket I say

a prayer for this girl and her family. This is a small city, but not

so small that people pay much attention to each other. I know over

the holidays, I'll be wishing that girl home.<

What a heartbreaking story! I immediately thought of my summer. My

Dad was in a coma, no reflexes, no spontanious breathing, in septic

shock, close to death. My sister and I spent the month of July away

from our families, visiting the hospital 4 times a day. We're from

the northeast, and this was in South Carolina. One day a " scruffy "

looking man said; " I got people praying for me, and everyone here in

this waiting from from Las Vegas all the way back east. " We all

thanked him...it was too touching!

Then he told us that he inherited his property from his grandfather,

and it was an old plantation. He said his grandfather had this pile

of rocks and every time he said a prayer, he'd add a rock to the

pile. Our new friend, Randy, said to us, he added a rock to his pile

for our Daddy, and he didn't think his grandfather would mind him

adding his stones to the pile. By the time we left...we were hugging

and kissing friends....and both his Mom and our Dad are alive and

making progress.

Maybe you can start your own prayer pile of rocks? You could place a

candle in the middle of an old plate or platter, and surround the

candle with the stones. You can light the candle and send your

wishes and prayers out to the universe. Sue

I will add my wish and my prayers to yours that this child finds her way

back home safe and sound.

If you don't talk to your cat about catnip, who will?

[Dave:] Yeah, I like that. But for now I’ll just keep them in my pocket.

Thanks.
