Guest guest
OK Everyone, I have a question. Mostly I have been working with just the oils but recently i have been getting questions from a group of people I am doing a series of AT workshops for. I desire to make a hair oil treatment using a blend of essential oils in a base. I have Unrefined Virgin Coconut oil (solid), Jojoba oil and Owyhee hydrosol. I would like to blend the 3 of these to make a liquidy oil but I don't know if that is possible. How do i get them to mix together (oil and water),..... Any ideas? Thanks a bunch! Guest guest
Hi Gloria, Ah, so you want to mix oil and water .. The age old dilemma Pretty much, you'll have to use some kind of emulsifier (e-wax for example), and then, you could very well end up with something more akin to a lotion or mayonnaise than an oil treatment *lol* I'd suggest sticking with the oils for this treatment thingy, and making the Owyhee Hydrosol (and you MUST tell me what that is part of a hair rinse of some sort. Also, keep the VCO in the mix down if you're concerned with it turning solid, and maybe even consider adding another liquid at room temperature and good for the hair oil (such as Babassu or Green Tea Seed). *Smile* Chris (list mom - swamped and trying to catch up without going insane http://www.alittleolfactory.com OK Everyone, I have a question. Guest guest
I took a seminar with Jeanne Rose and she had the Owyhee EO there. It smelled wonderful. I really, really liked the smell. I made a little bottle of face lotion with it and was in heaven every time I used it. I'll take some it for my Christmas list. Green Blessings Patty Corapi In a message dated 12/6/2006 3:45:54 A.M.
