Guest guest
Hi, I don't post much, but I know that when I run into a question I can come here. I have been making lotions for the last 6 years and decided to change from glycerin to sodium lactate because of people that I provide lotions to live in a very hot dry climate and glycerin isn't the best choice for them. Since I have changed that I also started testing my lotions after finally getting a ph meter. I have acidic and need to get a better ph balance so I starting using sodium bicarbonate and also I changed to a powdered non-gmo lecithin. and my batches are serperating on me. The ph was 4.28 when I tested it. Don't you think it needs to be balanced better. It happened when I used cosmoscil cs and read that it is cationic and the lecithin is non ionic and they are not compatable. So I am thinking this must be a chemical problem. I guess I really need to be a chemist. Ha. I put the baking soda at post. Should I try pre in water. Does any of you guys know if the sodium lactate interfers with the baking soda or the lecithin. I appreciate all of your knowledge and am very humble and will certainly welcome any advice and knowledge. Thank you so much charlene
